The Dental Practice Bathurst is made up of a dynamic, friendly and knowledgeable team who assist our experienced dentists in providing the very best of dental care to our patients. Our staff are well trained in all areas of dentistry and are more than happy to discuss any of your dental needs and options.
The Dental Practice, Bathurst also has access to specialist dental services in oral surgery and prosthodontics via visiting specialist colleagues.
Dr Mark Sinclair (B.D.S)
Dr Mark Sinclair has been involved as principal dentist at the Dental Practice in Bathurst since 1982. After graduating from the University of Sydney in 1980 where he was elected president of the student body in his final year, he has maintained a profile within the wider profession in various roles. He has overseen the expansion of the practice to include other dentists and visiting specialists which provide a truly multi-discplinary approach to patient care.
In 2002 Dr Sinclair graduated in Law from Macquarie University and in 2006 was admitted as a Solicitor by the NSW Supreme Court. He has been involved in providing numerous lectures and teaching programs, both on a state and national basis in connection with clinical dentistry especially involving risk management for the whole dental team. In 2009, Dr Sinclair was elected president of the NSW Branch of the Australian Dental Association. This body represents the largest group of practising dentists in Australia. He was re-elected in 2010 and 2011. He has held many positions within the NSW Branch and continues to represent the profession on many fronts. He has also been recently appointed to the federal government’s Professional Services Review panel. Mark has remained enthusiastically involved with dentistry and his patients with a special interest in comprehensive care, implant dentistry and practice management.

Dr Sanjay Hirekodi (BDS, FDSRCS, DGDP, MClinDent, MRDRCS)
Having qualified in 1991, Sanjay now has over 20 years of experience as a dentist. Sanjay qualified in the UK and worked in a general practice and hospital practice for many years. Being keen on keeping up to date and post graduate education, Sanjay completed his masters course in Clinical Prosthodontics in 2002 and was placed on the UK specialists register for Prosthodontics and Surgical Dentistry.
Sanjay lives locally in Bathurst with his wife and 3 children. He enjoys cricket, soccer and watching movies.
Dr Bishoy Philobos (B.D.Sc)
Dr Bishoy trained locally in the Central Western Region of New South Wales, and graduated from Charles Sturt University. Bishoy’s experience reflects in his strong skills in all aspects of dentistry ensuring thorough care for each of his patients. Bishoy takes the time to understand your goals in seeking dental treatment and thoroughly explains all the options which he gives you. Above all, his focus on prevention places his patients in control of their oral health. Bishoy takes many measures to provide a comfortable experience at the dentist, giving all his patients another reason to smile.
Dr Tuan Dao BDS (HONS) MDSc (Pros)
In December of 2008, Dr Dao graduated from the University of Sydney receiving a Masters of Dental Science in the specialist field of Prosthodontics. In 2009, he was recognized by the Dental Board of NSW as a registered specialist in the field of Prosthodontics. In July of 2009, Dr Dao was appointed Secretary of the Australian Prosthodontic Society (NSW Branch) and maintains an active role within the professional society. He is also a member of the Australian Dental Association, the Australian Osseointegration Society as well as the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Prosthodontics.
Dr Dao maintains two part time private practice appointments, in Bathurst and in Sydney. He is also a part time clinical specialist with the Oral Specialist Services at the Westmead Centre of Oral Health in Sydney. He continues to maintain a teaching position, appointed as a Specialist Clinical Assosciate with the University of Sydney, demonstrating Prosthodontics to final year dental students.
Dr Dao’s interests within dentistry include complex treatment including crown and bridge, dentures and implants. He enjoys treating patients and developing a relaxed approach to successful treatments.
Away from work, he enjoys playing sport and travelling overseas and experiencing different cultures.
Dr Graydon Smith
Graduated from Sydney University 1977 BDS(Hons), MDS(Oral Surgey), FRACDS(Oral Surg). Tutor & Lecturer in Oral Surgery, Sydney University for 9 Years. Private Practice for 25 years during which time I have practiced a full range of Oral Surgery. Published a number of scientific articles on various topics related to surgery. Main hospital appointments to Hornsby Ku-ring-gai & Bathurst Base hospitals; Hunters Hill and Dalcross SAN Private hospitals.
Merryne relocated from Sydney to Bathurst with her two children and pet dog. For many years Merryne worked as a Dental Assistant. There she realised her passion for helping people realise the importance of good oral health.
Completing her Bachelor of Oral Health at the University of Newcastle, Merryne enjoys all aspects of her role as a Hygienist.
